This community is open to all fans of Critical Role no matter what your preference for pairing may be. You do not have to join the community: you can either watch it or just track the post. Anon commenting will always be on, and IP tracking will be off. So feel free to stay anon if it makes you more comfortable.

What is a Kink Meme?
It's pretty simple. You post a prompt and your fellow fans get inspired and write fic based on that prompt. As it is a "kink" meme, a great deal of fic will be of the smutty variety, so if you aren't into that or not of a porn-reading age, this place won't be for you. Not all fic has to be smutty, but it does have to be kinky.

Clarification: This is a kink meme, therefore prompts must be kink-based. It is not a general prompting/headcanons meme. There have been a couple of people confused by that, so we're just making it extra clear.

How do I prompt?
Post each prompt as a new comment to the main post. Include pairing (or threesome or more if that's your thing) and anything else you want to add. You should put, at the very least, the pairing in the subject line along with a specific kink if it applies. Liam mentioned on Talks that the Volstruckers were trained to be “as sexual as they needed to be” to get information. I’m aware that he probably meant more of a seduction approach, but who says sex can’t be used as an interrogation/torture method?
So how about a Volstrucker tying their victim up and bringing them close to the edge without actually letting them finish, again and again over the course of several days, until the victim is reduced to a desperate, begging mess, promising to tell their torturer whatever they want if they’re only allowed to cum.

The Volstrucker in question can be Astrid, Eodwulf, an AU!Bren who never broke, canon!Caleb falling back on his old training in a desperate situation, a faceless OC, or any combination of those (maybe they all have different methods?). I’d love for the victim to be a reader insert because imo there is far too little reader/character fic in this fandom (I’m fine with any pronouns/gender for the reader but if you go into detail about body parts I would prefer for them to be AFAB).

So, after reading a couple fics on Ao3 along these lines, I have an absolute desperate need for more Lucien/Essek, particuarly along the lines of Lucien zeroing in on Essek as someone important to Caleb (who he has those pesky lingering Molly feelings for) and being jealous/possessive about it. Scenario is dealers choice. E.g a bad ending or Lucien picking up on the M9's intention to go to Essek for help and turning up at the Dynasty outpost ahead of them while they're stealing the amulets.

Bonus for Lucien making Caleb watch, or Neosomnovem controlled Caleb being in on it. I'm also happy if you want to write either cis or trans!Essek, I love both. Omegaverse is a favourite of mine as well.

Being the only two new souls in Den Thelyss had a lot of pressures for Verin and Essek growing up, often leaving them as each other's only comfort and confidant in the face of their family's endless disappointment. As they get older, that closeness takes a new, intimate and obssessive turn.

Cue a very embarrassed, uncertain Shadowhand squirming under the attention, not wanting to be overheard despite being reassured that no one else cares. Can also be slightly dubcon at the beginning as Essek tries to resist but then ends up being into it after some encouragement from Caleb.

Can be cis/trans Essek, or even something more out there like omegaverse. I'm open to all versions of our favourite floaty hot boi. She's been with women who have dicks before, she's reasonably sure she can handle a delirious half orc with a raging hard-on.

Okay, this is going to be bizarrely specific, but I would love to read something along the lines of Essek post-canon being in a tenuous, potentially deadly situation where he has to seduce/fuck someone in order to keep his cover intact. Essek is inexperienced in doing these kinds of things, since his expertise as Shadowhand lay in political manipulation and court politics, not this kind of intimate seduction, and sex isn’t something that he is naturally inclined to. But he knows that Caleb knows how to do these things, was trained in it, if not the exact shape of what Caleb was trained in. So in desperation, he sends to Caleb to guide him through fucking this person, and Caleb tries to help Essek through the act. (Via some Sending spell of extended duration developed by Jester?? Idk.)

Just—Essek, inexperienced and trying to keep it together, in a delicate situation where extenuating circumstances make it so fucking someone is the only option to keep his cover, with Caleb’s voice in his head trying to guide him through it and make it marginally easier for him, and Caleb desperate to help, with no way to extricate Essek from this situation except these methods he was trained in?

Could be with an established relationship between the two of them, with the familiarity between them making the situation marginally less terrible for Essek with the comfort of Caleb’s presence, and the both of them finding some kind of pleasure in Caleb guiding Essek through fucking someone? Or it could be pre-relationship, with the ache of Caleb trying to help Essek through this intensely intimate situation while their own relationship is still loose and undefined and they haven’t had this kind of sexual experience together? Either is really good, oh man.

being naughty is in jester's nature, and she can't help but go in for a prank when she sees an opening for one. cut to the person she's pranking (fjord, caleb, beau, essek, etc, all of them - anyone really) catching her red-handed and giving her a playful smack on the backside as punishment

Caleb and Essek have gotten trapped somewhere in very tight quarters and are stuck there for an extended period of time (did they set off a trap in Aeor and stuck pressed up against each other in a tiny space? Are the hiding from enemies in a very small closet?) This is further complicated because Essek has to piss urgently but there is no way to take care of it in their current situation that wouldn’t get them both wet.

Caleb sees him struggling suggests that he go ahead and wet himself and then clean up them both up with prestidigitation, but Essek could never! That’s just too embarrassing! He can wait! …except he really can’t.

For a spell - maybe like a temporary version of their stat-boosting tattoos, something that binds multiple people together to count as 1 person for another spell, or (my fav) a handwaved addition to the actual spell Telepathic Bond - Caleb has to draw quite intricate markings on the skin of each member of the Nein getting affected.

One or more of them get 'affected' by the attention, by the constant touch of quill on skin, by everything. Horniness is distracting.

Uh. Caleb and Essek find mysterious arcane machinery in Aeor, and it quickly becomes clear that it was made for very specific purposes. Perhaps Essek finds himself too cautious to engage with it, and Caleb recreates a duplicate of the machinery in the tower to partake in without the risk? Either way: Essek getting well and thoroughly fucked by a machine under the guise of experimentation, and Caleb helping him partake in it.

(looking more for a focus on desperation and attraction/gentleness despite the fucked-up circumstances, less on the hardcore humiliation/dubcon aspect. ironic i know.)

Essek has very little experience sleeping but after seeing the cuddles between the rest of the Mighty Nein, it seems pretty appealing to drift off in bed beside Caleb.

And it goes well until he wakes up a few hours later having fully wet the bed (or he wakes up as he's wetting and can't stop himself).

Essek is mortified and has to wake Caleb and admit what happened so they can change the sheets, repeatedly apologizing and fully intending to go trance in a different room.

Basically Caleb letting someone use him, because after his Scourger training, he just doesn't really care that much about trading sex for.. anything really. It's just mechanics, it's only his body, so long as they don't really hurt him, he can just check out and rely on muscle memory. He feels like he doesn't deserve more than being a means to an end.
Maybe he sleeps with someone to get information that will help Essek or to provide a distraction for him. Maybe someone is making Essek uncomfortable, and he steps in and draws them away so Essek won't have to deal with it. However it happens, Essek is horrified, not that Caleb would casually sleep with someone, but that he regards himself so little. Essek then makes it his own mission to show Caleb just how important, how worthy of consideration, he thinks Caleb is.

Veth puts her Mage Hand to good use, teasing her teammates at the most inappropriate times, like when Beau is sharing intel with the Soul, when Fjord is trying to smooth talk the group out of an altercation, or when Caleb is counting out gold for a shopkeeper.

She puts those spectral fingers to good use but never finishes the job, letting her teammate get flustered and frustrated while they have to maintain a straight face.

Some degree of dubcon is fine, given the set-up, but please no out-and-out noncon.

For bonus points: this is the agreed upon boundary for Veth/Yeza and Veth is otherwise not participating in anything sexual with the rest of the Nein. The teased character(s) will have to take care of the problem themselves or find another teammate to help.

Work this however you want, trans character, omegaverse, other fantasy race biology (or even always-another-gender AU). But Caleb and Essek's developing relationship has an unexpected fallout when pregnancy comes into the mix.

Love to see consequences played out along the lines of culture clashes between Empire and Dynasty views on love and relationships; Essek and Caleb's relationship being secret up till now and the Umavi/Den Thelyss not being happy about it; possible shotgun wedding threats on both sides ~~mostly playfully by the M9~~; Caleb and Essek having a very serious talk on whether children are something either of them actually want etc.

(fyi, I am not against this being played along more fluff lines, either, but mostly I am here for the angst™)

I feel like the only prompts getting filled lately are mostly Shadowgast ones, and as much as I love our two broken, morally ambiguous wizards, there are so many other interesting pairings that deserve some love, too. So if you'd like a fill for a ship that's critically underrepresented in the fanfic department, just comment the prompt here and I'll try to write at least a short minific or something for it! Can also be a complete crack-ship, I'll find a way to make it work <3

I have seen startlingly few stories surrounding Molly “sociably pin[ning] Caleb to the wall.” This is deeply troubling and must be remedied.
I always saw Molly as a little bit… darker than fandom often makes him out to be. He was an absolute bastard, and that weirdly uncomfortably sexually-tense bit of bullying there? Was him being an extremely sexy bastard.

Anything with Molly intimidating Caleb, don’t care whether Caleb is actually frightened of him or just going along with it or telling Molly to fuck off cause “you’re not as frightening as you’d like to think.” I wants that tension. Needs it.

Really I just want some slow burn whump, Hurt/Comfort involving Mollymauk falling into the hands of the wrong people and suffering quite a bit for it.

Maybe a young Lucian being broken and sold by slavers and somehow ending up saved by the Orders.

Could be an AU where a "young" circus Molly is kidnapped by some racist assholes and rescued some time later by the other Circus performers.

Maybe even something similar in the Mighty Nein time period.

Heck, a random AU where he IS a slave would work for me too.
