This community is open to all fans of Critical Role no matter what your preference for pairing may be. You do not have to join the community: you can either watch it or just track the post. Anon commenting will always be on, and IP tracking will be off. So feel free to stay anon if it makes you more comfortable.

What is a Kink Meme?
It's pretty simple. You post a prompt and your fellow fans get inspired and write fic based on that prompt. As it is a "kink" meme, a great deal of fic will be of the smutty variety, so if you aren't into that or not of a porn-reading age, this place won't be for you. Not all fic has to be smutty, but it does have to be kinky.

Clarification: This is a kink meme, therefore prompts must be kink-based. It is not a general prompting/headcanons meme. There have been a couple of people confused by that, so we're just making it extra clear.

Please only post one prompt per comment so to avoid any confusion.

How do I prompt?
Post each prompt as a new comment to the main post. Include pairing (or threesome or more if that's your thing) and anything else you want to add. You should put, at the very least, the pairing in the subject line along with a specific kink if it applies. You can put the whole prompt in the subject if it will fit, but if it doesn't, use the comments. For example:

Subject line: Beauregard/Jester, friends to lovers

Body of comment: Jester's been letting Beau use her for sparring practice. That kind of proximity does things to a tiefling.

Go for it! You don't have to claim it, and fills can be written by more than one person. Once you've finished you must post it as a response to the original comment. What if there was an actual poison in Essek's drink that night? Now that his partnership with the Cerberus Assembly is over, he's nothing but a loose end. And what better way to get rid of a loose end and cause a rift in the peace talks than to kill a Drow disguised as a Human from the Empire? It would be an international, political incident. Especially once that Drow's identity and position in the Dynasty comes to light.

Like Matt, I’m so into this shifting cat-and-mouse dynamic. So maybe [E121 spoilers] Lucien takes Caleb up on his offer to let him — and only him, not Beau — take a look at the book while in the Tower. For whatever reason, Caleb doesn’t or can’t get anything useful from the book, so he decides to call upon his Vollstrucker (sp?) training and seduce Lucien to see if he can get anything else out of him. Lucien is absolutely down for it because he thinks he can outwit Caleb and have some fun at the same time. Give me ALL the power play, tense banter, who’s-seducing-whom, etc. The dirtier they play, the better.

The Tomb Takers are pretty much constantly watching the Nein in one way or another. Why shouldn't this extend to Mighty Nein members taking bathroom breaks? After all, who's to say that they're actually sneaking behind that snowdrift to relieve themselves? Maybe they're trying to plot something while out of sight and earshot. Better to keep an eye on them just in case.

Caleb/Lucien is, apparently, my jam - some sort of AU where Caleb got left behind with the tomb takers while the others ran, and Lucien decided to take some of his vengeance out on him.

Ideally non-con but any kind of whump is good. Character death is a hard limit, but nothing else is, and I’m fine if the ending is kind of ambiguous.

Caleb likes to Polymorph to relax and turn his brain off. We've seen him turn into a dog just to snuggle up to people and get scritches. But Polymorph only lasts an hour and you only get so many spell slots in a day.

I'd love for Essek and Caleb to be studying at Essek's place in Rosohna, and Caleb is out of spell slots and is noticeably tense and jittery and crawling out of his skin. And when Essek figures out the problem, he suggests that while yes, Essek could cast Polymorph on Caleb, it would only last an hour, but that Caleb might want to research "pet play" because it might offer Caleb some of the same benefits but without the hard time limit.

(I headcanon Essek as someone on the ace spectrum who has a very well curated personal collection of erotica and kink manuals and toys and knows a lot about his own body and what he likes, just is mostly disinclined to partner sex except with a specific person -- ie Caleb -- under specific circumstances.)

Caleb does some reading and decides yes, he would like to try it.

In the spirit of manipulating each other and trading favours, Lucien offers to give Caleb something he wants very much and pretend to be Molly for him in bed. But despite being physically identical, Lucien is a very unconvincing 'Molly' in terms of voice and behaviour, so they ending up pretending Caleb and Molly are doing a scene where Caleb's ordered him not to speak.

Caleb tries really hard to buy into the scenario that Molly's being quiet because they're playing a game, but 'You don't get to talk now' is a drastically different mood from the 'holding him close and sobbing his name' kind of sex he actually wants, and there's always the knowledge at the edge of his mind that it's Lucien behind that face, indulging him in this for his own reasons and probably regarding his feelings with pity and scorn.

Caleb gets in deep(er) trouble with the Empire - maybe Trent gets more powerful or Caleb somehow gets pinned for a certain Assembly members death. The Empire knows about the Xhorhaus and M9's ties to the Dynasty and threaten the treaty to get Caleb turned over to them since he's technically an Empire citizen. Essek is desperate to keep Caleb safe and figures only solution to avoid war as well is to make Caleb a citizen of the Dynasty instead. Only one way to accomplish that - marriage. And Dynasty customs clearly require marriages to be consumated before being valid.

All the wedding night awkwardness and complex feelings pls. They're both attracted to one another but neither was ready or willing to act on it until they had no other choice.

Essek really does try to change and be a better person, but he just can't seem to stop himself from falling back into old habits. He doesn't want to give up all he's worked for, but he doesn't want to lose the Nein or Caleb. His solution is, of course, magic. Essek uses any magical means to keep the Nein with him. Mind/memory altering magic, potions, anything to keep them from finding out and turning on him. Ultimately, Essek uses it to influence Caleb's feelings for him.
