After seeing Wil's dice curse in full effect right in front of them in episode 20, Liam gets it in his head to maybe, well, try and turn Wil's luck. Not that he believes in curses, or karma, per se (although after Wil's track record an argument could be made...). No, that's just fluff. But hey, it's an excuse.
Basically, Liam wants closer to those terribly unlucky hands.
Anything goes, as long as Liam pays a lot of attention to Wil's fingers and hands, trying to 'bless' him. Bonus points for dice being held during, or rolled during/after their encounter. You know, just to check ;)
