So, I had this plot bunny bite me the day I read this prompt and finally life let me write it. It became a lot longer than I anticipated. I hope it is what you are looking for OP. ______________________________________________________________
Matt’s felt it since he woke up this morning. It started when he had to leave the warm cocoon of his blankets and the embrace of Marsha and Taliesin. As he crawled out from his warm spot, his brain started buzzing with these unidentifiable feelings. He can’t put any particular label on it, but he can tell that he hasn’t felt like this in a long time. If he had to guess, he believed it could be a mixture of anxiety, stress, and just a general blah feeling. Going through his day he felt the twitchiness and buzzing in his brain continue to heighten. He couldn’t wait to…no damnit. Tonight, was the night that all of them planned to get together. With all of them being busier than ever, it was increasingly difficult to find time in all their schedules for them to just be and enjoy each other’s company, in more than one way. They had been planning this night for a couple weeks now and he didn’t want to be the one to ruin it for everyone. So, he vowed to not let this…buzzing ruin what promised to be a good night. Later that evening, as he was driving out to dinner, he found himself absentmindedly playing with Marisha’s fingers. “You ok, Babe?” Her voice, tinged with worry, pierced through the fog surrounding his brain, and he shook himself out of his stupor. “Yes, sorry. I’m ok, Marisha. So, you were telling me about a thing you saw on Twitter today?” Matt said softly, bringing her hand up to kiss it gently, giving her a small smile. She smiles back at him, before carrying on the conversation with him about all the cool art she saw on Twitter and about her day in general. Matt made small listening noises as he maneuvered the car through LA traffic to the restaurant. Once they arrived and he parked the car, he followed Marisha into the restaurant, never letting go of her hand, grounding him. Once inside, he saw the rest of his friends and made over to join them. He was seated between Marisha and Sam, the latter giving him a fond grin and a clap on the shoulder as he sat down. Surrounded by the people he cared about, he felt the buzzing and general blah feeling simmer down and he could enjoy dinner. Soon it was time to move their party back to Laura and Travis’s, and as Matt gets into the driver’s seat of his car, he could feel that twitchy feeling creeping back up into his brain. But he let the voices of Taliesin, who had taken a taxi to the restaurant and therefore was in his car now, and Marisha and soft touches across his hair and neck soothe him as he made his way towards Laura and Travis’s. Once there, he pulled into their driveway, parked the car, got the duffle bag out of the trunk and walked into their house, the other two wrapped around him. When he walked in, he was immediately relieved of his bag and the other two individuals, and a glass put in his hand. Slipping his shoes off, he made his way over to the living room, sitting himself down on the sofa. He sipped the alcohol slowly, allowing the warmth to help him stave off the twitchiness that he could feel coming back. This time, it didn’t work as well, and he found his brain growing a bit foggier. But still he persevered, listening to the hum of conversation from his friends and basking in their presence. Bodies started piling next to and around him on the couch, and he felt himself slipping off the couch and onto the floor, his back resting on the cushions. His head tipped back, and found itself into the lap of Liam, who smiled down at him and ruffled his hair as he continued the conversation with Laura on his right. A weight landed on his legs and he looked down to find Taliesin sprawled across his lap, having a conversation with Sam next to Laura on the couch. He looked around but didn’t see Marisha, assuming she was either in the kitchen or in the bathroom. His suspicions were proven correct when she walked out of the kitchen with Travis, raising his eyebrow at the lipstick that was now smeared on her lips and, upon closer inspection, was seen at the corner of Travis’s mouth. He caught her eye and raised his eyebrow, even in his fogged state, enjoying the blush that spread across her cheeks at being caught. Travis was getting a similar look from Laura, her higher pitched voice ringing out above the conversation, “You two started without us?” The two in question blushed a bit more, and Travis gave his wife his very effective version of sad puppy dog eyes. She pouted a few minutes before starting to chuckle at his pathetic look, and kissed him firmly on the mouth. Everyone else, taking that as the cue to allow themselves to start, started pairing up. Matt found himself starting to be kissed by Liam as Taliesin shifted in his lap to allow Marisha to lay down next to him, beginning to kiss her after removing both their shirts. Matt found his own shirt being removed by the nimble hands of Liam, with surprisingly very little protest from him. A fog started overtaking him, not the dark, thick fog that’s been over him all day, but more of a lighter cloud, one that he has experienced before in these kinds of situations. Before he knew it, he was stripped naked and sitting in almost the same spot he started in, maybe a little farther away from the couch. He had gotten kisses from everyone there, and when his fog allowed a little bit of sunlight in, he saw Sam in between Laura and Travis, both naked, marking on his neck and shirtless torso, hands working his pants off. Liam was liplocked with Marisha, his hands on her exposed breasts and hers unbuckling his belt and working his jeans. Taliesin was across the room, fiddling with his duffle bag, his round, naked ass facing Matt. Matt smiled, couldn’t help the though crossing his mind of “Maybe that buzzing/foggy feeling is gone, and I can relax and enjoy himself tonight.” Famous last words.
