"hush"- Matt/Marisha/Taliesin

(i still can't believe someone who isn't me prompted my favorite thing with my favorite person. anyway, here you go- some short, sweet nonsexual ageplay)

Here's a fact everyone can agree with: being an adult is stressful.

Taliesin has spent a lot of time being an adult. No one really asked him to be a weirdly mature child at the age of seven, but it seemed like the thing to do at the time, and it worked out pretty well for him. Between that and working since before he could talk, though, he has apparently missed out on a lot; sometimes a friend will joke about some seemingly universal experience for American kids under ten, and he'll just shrug helplessly, unable to relate.

Well- he's tired of being an adult. Sure, it's not like he can just call it quits, but he's done some research, because the internet is a vast and glorious thing, and he's found that he can, in fact, take a break every now and then. Matt and Marisha, god love them, have even agreed to help.

He's terrified.

He hoists the backpack of supplies over his shoulder, takes a deep breath, and knocks. Marisha greets him with a big smile and a kiss on the cheek and ushers him inside, into the living room, where Matt joins them.

"So, uh." Taliesin places the backpack on the floor and busies himself with opening it, not looking his friends in the eye. "I have some- things I wanted to try, so if there's anything you're not comfortable with, just tell me-"

"Hey." Matt places a hand on his shoulder and smiles warmly at him. "It'll be great. Promise."

Taliesin nods, then starts to pull things out of the bag. He starts with two stuffed animals- a small plush turtle and a teddy bear with a purple bow around its neck. Marisha and Matt sit down with him and smile encouragingly, so he keeps digging.

A small pile of books comes next- he sees Matt grin at the copy of The Hobbit and feels a little better. A kigurumi, some lighter pajamas, and a small, soft blanket join the items, and Marisha lets out a soft "aw".

"Uh, here comes the more...out there stuff," he says. Marisha just nods and gives him a swift kiss on the forehead. They're both paying close attention and smiling, and it settles his nervously beating heart a little.

Without looking at his friends (because oh god he'll straight up die if any of this freaks them out), he first pulls out the pacifier, then the bottle, and finally, with his heart in his throat, the thick, plastic-backed diaper with starts printed across the front.

"Is this okay?" he asks before the silence can get too awkward. "I'm fine with cutting out anything you guys don't wanna do, I know this is really weird even by my standards-"

"Taliesin." Matt takes his hand and squeezes gently. "It's okay."

"We looked up a lot of this stuff," Marisha says. "And we decided we're cool with whatever you throw at us."

Taliesin finally feels the knot in his chest loosen. "Thank you. Really, thank you."

Matt kisses his cheek. "What do you say we get you dressed, huh?"

His face immediately goes bright red, but he nods, and Matt gathers up his things while Marisha takes his hand and leads him to the bedroom. "Lift up your arms," she instructs, and she carefully undresses him. "Okay. Lay down, baby."

Taliesin obeys, and after a moment's shyness, he brings his thumb up to his mouth. Marisha just gives him another soft smile.

It's...strange, lying here like this, carefully lifting his hips while Marisha tapes up the diaper. He still feels sort of ridiculous, despite the acceptance they've given him, but while Marisha helps him into his pajamas, then the kigurumi, Taliesin can feel his brain quieting down, like all of his worries are muffled by a thick layer of cotton.

"What a sweet baby," Marisha coos. She tickles his stomach and he can't help but giggle, ducking his head shyly. "What do you think, Daddy?"

"We have the best baby in the world," Matt says. "Here, handsome, take your thumb out of your mouth. Good boy," he says, and replaces it with the pacifier. "How about Mommy gets a drink while we start a book, okay?"

Taliesin just nods and makes a small, affirmative sound. Marisha kisses him before she heads off to the kitchen, and Matt settles into the bed with him.

"All right. 'In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit...'"

Taliesin closes his eyes, rests his head on Matt's shoulder, and smiles.
