Fantastic!! tbh I'm not into Percy/Vex much, either, so I totally understand the need for some variety...
Were you at all interested in the other VM members being different races? I'm a bit new to D&D overall, so I'm not sure I'll be able to do anything too complicated with changing their backstories, but if you had an idea like Tiefling!Percy that you really liked I could give it a try!
