The reason Liam seemed to enjoy the whisper in ep 2 so.much is because Matt sneaks in as many kisses and nibbles as he possibly can and because of the whole plague situation it's been a long time since they were able to get up to those sort of shenanigans on camera.

+Matt does that to everyone so they all know exactly what Liam is feeling.
