AU, where Nott was never a Halfling but wants to be (I've only watching so I'mm still on the bit where no one knows Nott's backstory and I just think the idea is interesting of her being born a Goblin, but wanting desperately be be a halfling, hence learning the language and disguising herself)
And this is inspired by a few posts where I've seen other characters being shipped or poly nein but with Nott not included.
So something please where for some reason) the group get closer, relationships develop and everyone is touching more and hugging, and even kissing sometimes. Nott believes they are all starting to get together, overhears conversations she's not meant to hear, see's various memebers grow closer with each other. No one had acted any differently around her, and she knows that none of them would ever want to be in a relationship with a goblin.
The others have not yet actually got together, as in negoiations about it, but they all agree that it wouldn't feel right without Nott, who is twitchy and self depricating and hard to pin down, who makes stuttering excuses if someone tries to bring anyting about relationships up with her.
Just basically a wild flurry of misunderstandings.
Then something happens, dunno what, where maybe Nott does something stupidly self sacraficing and brave, because it's better she be killed/injured that one of them, or her deciding to strike out on her own, and getting into almost immeadiate trouble because she's a goblin in a world that hates them etc. (whatever it is, she has let them know its because she wants them to be happy together and is sorry for being in the way of that, or something similar)
the others come to her aid, sort the issue, and finally have the conversation they need to have with her. And of course she thinks they're doing it out of misplaced pity, but they just love her and keep loving her until she finally understands.
(love does not have to equal sex, but some sex would be acceptable) If there was even something a little beyond that, where they remind her of how much she is loved when she gets insecure that would be cool too.
