Instead of being banished on pain of death, the plank king sentences the nein to the usual punishment for their crimes: 24 hours of public use.
The nein are restrained in stocks or something and are able to see as pirates from the island do whatever they want to them.
Please no super gross stuff like scat or death. You can let Caduceus escape if you prefer
