The bit on Talks where Liam said Caleb will raise Luc with Yeza if Veth dies and then they talked about Caleb and Yeza growing to love each other really got to me. I want to see that, but I also don't want Veth to be dead, so I came up with this:

They lose Veth in the final battle, to a Disintegrate spell or something else that leaves no body. Caleb commits to fulfilling her request that someone take care of her son and marry her husband. While co-parenting Luc and mourning Veth together, Caleb and Yeza fall in love. Veth, meanwhile, was actually sent to another plane of existence or forward in time or some deus ex machina bullshit like that. When she finally makes it home to her husband, she finds him in bed with her best friend.

Yeza and Caleb, weeping with joy: You're alive, you're here, it's the miracle we never even dared hope for
Veth, equally overwhelmed: You're fucking each other, it's everything I ever wanted
