It's clear that Lucien is a cunning and clever bastard. He's a gentleman, he knows other, less lethal ways to get information out of someone, especially if the someone is a pretty young woman.

Lucien captures Jester and interrogates her to learn more about the Mighty Nein. She's a tough one, keeping quiet-- but he knows how to make her squeal, literally ;)
