Okay so we had Caleb put manacles on Essek IN CANON, and it's been six months since that episode and still not one single story has been written utilizing the Manacles of Stasis? SHADOWGAST FANDOM YOU HAD ONE JOB WTF.
(If it turns out there's a secret archive of these fics somewhere I will retract my complaint if people link them.)
Where are the ep 97 AUs where Caleb tracks down Essek during that day and a half between the reveal and the party and puts the manacles on him and drags him somewhere private where they can "talk"? Last time I checked Essek didn't wear an anti-scry charm :).
Or during the party Caleb gets to Essek before Veth poisons him, and brings him to one of the side rooms for private questioning?
Or Caleb skips out one night during Travelercon and Teleports to pay Essek an unannounced visit (pretend Caleb got Teleport early or something IDGAF).
Or just straight up plot what plot porn using the Manacles.
