So...Essek REALLY does love the Nein. That much I'm sure of. I want someone to use that against him. I don't care who, but I want them to make him suffer using his friends as a bargaining chip.

Or maybe he's allowed to just be with them for a bit, as a 'break' before going back? I dunno, just ideas) +Shadowgast, either mutual pining or newly together
Seriously, go as dark with it as your heart desires. The only squicks I have are bathroom stuff and permanent character death.
