OP here! Completely agree on there not being enough Caduceus whump. I’m fine with this particular scene but since it’s pretty specific, I’m going to leave it up to our lovely filler to decide whether it and/or dissociation specifically fit what they were imagining; feel free to include it if you like it, anon.
However, 110% AGREE with the focus on the Nein helping a hurting Caduceus—particularly a traumatized Caduceus who made a knowing choice and doesn’t regret what he traded considering what they gained, so can’t understand why it still hurts so much. And a Nein who realize what’s up, get Caduceus to sort through it and figure out how to heal.
This was a long way to say: same hat, leaving this particular detail up to filler but a billion percent there with you on the focus and sentiment.
