Caleb's new coat is just hnnng, very very sexy. I just wanna see more of a glimpse of Bren in him, turning that charm on because the best way to accomplish his goals? Just- charm the person he *knows* that can teach him time magic. So Caleb just turns that charisma up to twenty when talking to Essik, searching him out, inviting him to pour over magic books, complimenting him on his mind, popping open the first few buttons of his collar before learning in over a book, etc.
Fjord is very uncomfortably aroused by that scruffy wizard now being Certifiedly Hot. He's also quite sexually intimidated by confident redheads. So he does the thing he does whenever he's left feeling inadequate, which is turning up the Texblade charm.
Essik thinks the whole thing is hilarious and sees right through the two of them, but isn't the least averse to what is going on.
